Seven in One Strike
One morning,
the tailor
swatted down seven flies
with a single strike.
To the world,
it was a tiny event
of almost no significance.
But in that moment,
a single thought
quietly began to grow
inside the tailor.
“Maybe there is
something I can do, too.”
Sometimes,
a person’s destiny
begins to take shape
from a faint little certainty
like this.
So he took
a piece of cloth
and embroidered words onto it:
“Seven in One Strike.”
Words can sometimes
travel much farther
than the facts themselves.
Many stories
begin to move forward
from such small,
whispered ideas.
And from that day on,
the tailor’s world
began to take on
just a little more color.
